Staveley is easily reached by car or train. The village sits beside the A591, reached from Junction 36 on the M6. The road runs northwest, bypassing Kendal (4 miles from Staveley) and Staveley itself, making the village a quiet oasis, but with easy connections to the nearest towns of Windermere and Kendal.

A right turn off the A591, signed ‘Staveley, Kentmere’ will take you over a level crossing. Follow the road into the village and just beyond the Eagle & Child pub, fork left onto Gowan Terrace, which leads onto The Banks. ‘Rayburn’ is on the right, toward the far end of the road. The postcode is LA8 9NE and W3W is northward.tiptoes.couriers

By train, the Oxenholme to Windermere line stops at Staveley. Once out of the station, The Banks is straight ahead with ‘Rayburn’ on your left. The train timetable can be found here
